Hello Everyone! First of all, I would really like to thank you for seeing value in our music and blog and remaining committed to visiting, enjoying and sharing our music in light of my recent decision to make our content more exclusive to the website. Of course, “going more exclusive” does not mean that we do not encourage you to continue sharing our content. It only means that going forward, we want to ensure that our blog/website is your primary base and focal point for experiencing #MTSTPBlog music. Now, on to new music! This week’s #MTSTPBlog song is entitled “Breathe.” “Breathe, Hold your breath no longer, Breathe like you’ve been under water, Live morally like you ought to, Make them proud you are their sons and daughters…” “Be who you wish to be, But go about it with virtue and true morality…” – “Breathe” by Rise-Ascend I hope you all enjoy. Hello Everyone,
Do you remember the “old days” (just before the massive popularity of Myspace) when you actually visited your favorite website or blog every morning, and not via a social media link prompted by a social post from one of the major platforms? Instead, you had bookmarked your favorite website or blog on your phone and/or computer and you just remembered to check it out daily and see what was new. Well, although we most certainly owe many, many of our friends, followers, supporters and fans to our use of social media over the last seven or so years, with the current state of algorithm-based content gating and censorship, and after thinking long and hard about it, I have decided to reinvest and have more faith in our own online real-estate by pulling our new content links from social media going forward (with the exception of YouTube and SoundCloud for your listening convenience). Basically, this means that we are asking you to bookmark our blog on your computer and phone home screen or tablet (if you haven’t already) and make it a point to visit us regularly in order to continue enjoying the love and hard work that goes into bringing you brand new songs every week. No, I am not planning on turning our site into some revenue generating ad machine. I truly feel what we do is best, most sincere and effective in its current pure state and that will not change – no ads here. With respect to the extremely important, recent news updates that you usually see in the right column on our blog, previously being feed through our social media page, I will continue to reserve that area for important current news updates. However, instead of a social media link, there will be a new section that links directly to the relevant news media page. Taking a more exclusive approach going forward is by no means meant to leave anyone out, but rather a means of further empowering and strengthening our blog in order to ensure that you can turn to #MTSTPBlog for inspiration and good music at times when you need it most. Thank You. Kind regards, Rise www.musictostopthepersecution.org/blog Hello Again Everyone, I hope you are all enjoying a very positive and productive week so far. Moving forward with the #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions series, I am happy to bring you the 2nd installment. This week’s new song is entitled “Heavy Rain.” The symbolism in the song represents the daunting trials and tribulations you may encounter along your life’s journey. “It’s been a lifetime of storms for you, Pausing on the side of a mountain, a little reflection and soul searching, Just let the heavy rain pour on you, Have faith in the Creator and one day, you’ll see that the Great Way is here for you…” – “Heavy Rain” by Rise-Ascend I hope you all enjoy. This week’s new #MTSTPBlog song is entitled “Your Heart Matters.” “Don’t take it for granted, Everything you do matters, please understanding it, Forgive if I’m candid, But leaving it unsaid, is leaving you stranded…” “Try to do what’s right, cause it matters…” – “Your Heart Matters” by Rise-Ascend I hope you all enjoy and please remember to catch the blog next week for the 2nd installment of the new #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions series. The Chinese communist regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa), a mind and body practice guided by the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, 19 years ago on July 20, 1999. Practitioners hold a rallies, candlelight vigils and other events to mourn those who lost their lives and to call for an immediate end to the atrocities still taking place in China. It made international headlines, and set off a chain of events that would shut down the labor camp system in China. It also ignited the letter-writer’s dangerous quest to expose a deadly persecution faced by the largest group of prisoners of conscience in China. With a good portion of footage secretly shot in China, this award-winning documentary is directed by Peabody Award winning director Leon Lee. Hello Everyone!
Today, I am very excited to introduce you to a new bi-monthly series from #MTSTPBlog. From now on, in addition to our usual #MTSTPBlog songs and sound, I will begin alternating a new bi-monthly series of songs entitled “#MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions.” Of course, every other week, I will continue to release songs that reflect the signature Hip-Hop, Pop, Global and Future Bass sound of #MTSTPBlog that initially attracted many of you to our site and has established an intimate connection that brings you back to our blog on a regular basis. With the new series #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions, every other week, I will release a song that more deeply reflects my love and appreciation for traditional music. These songs will be simple and embody a more traditional overall sound by incorporating solely traditional, folk, acoustic, ethnic and classical instruments and sounds. Most notably, you will not hear the recognizably hard-vocal-tuning that I often use with other #MTSTPBlog songs. With respect to song message, concepts and themes, these will not change much – as our general message remains the same and only the overall musical sound will be different for the #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions series. Perhaps, you are wondering what to expect from this new series. Well, our recent #MTSTPBlog song entitled “Auspicious” is a very good representation of the overall feel and idea of the #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions series. PLEASE NOTE: I am not classically nor traditionally trained in music composition or arrangement and by no means should any of my music, and particularly the #MTSTP Beautiful Sound Traditions series, be considered, referred to, or confused with REAL traditional or classical music. Please make no mistake, the #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions series is only a personal reflection of my love for the traditional, classical and ethnic sounds in music and a means to help encourage those who have developed an intimate connection with our blog to go and experience true, well-defined, developed and timeless traditional music and culture. Stay tuned for the inaugural #MTSTPBlog Beautiful Sound Traditions song to be released in a few days! As always, I deeply and sincerely thank you all for walking on this journey with #MTSTPBlog – Music To Stop The Persecution.
