Hello Everyone! I hope you are having an awesome Friday! Living in Virginia, we have the benefit of seeing the beautiful season changes and an always colorful fall. In keeping with the idea of periodically updating previously released short #MTSTPBlog songs, as done with “The Coast: v.2,” I decided to recreate a new version of a track from last year called “Autumn Nights.” Back then, “Autumn Nights” was exclusively released on Twitter, so you will not find it on our blog. This week’s new track is entitled “Autumn Dusk” and it is also an ode to the season. I hope you enjoy. Kind regards, Rise @RiseAscend **Image Credit: Luca Bravo via www.unsplash.com

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! Tonight, we are releasing this week’s #MTSTPBlog song entitled “Alone.” It is a new solo by Alina. “Alone” is a special song that tells a true story that is sadly similar to many untold stories in China today. Here is what Alina had to say about the song: “People who practice Falun Gong are brutally persecuted in China. These people have not committed any crime. On the contrary, they live their lives based on the three principals of Falun Gong: Truthfulness (Zhen), Compassion (Shan) and Tolerance (Ren). These people try to be kind, strong and good people in all respects. Not only have the practitioners of Falun Gong in China been forced to do inhumane labor and been tortured to death, but many of their families have been torn apart. “Alone” is based on a true story about a young child whose parents were arrested for practicing Falun Gong. From that point on, she was left all alone and had to take care of herself. The Chinese authorities do not care at all. Family members of Falun Gong practitioners are even discriminated against and bullied in China.” - Alina I hope you all enjoy the new song. Tonight, we have a special release for you by Rise-Ascend & Direction feat. Alina entitled “Malala.” Our new song “Malala” is inspired by, and based on, the courageous and well-known story of Malala Yousafzai. In 2012, while in her native country of Pakistan, Malala was shot in the head, neck and shoulder by a masked gunman, associated with the Taliban, attempting to murder her and silence her efforts to help girls in Pakistan attend school. Even after almost being killed for what she believes in, Malala survived and has continued her fearless efforts to encourage young girls around the world. Simply because we were inspired by Malala’s courageous story, Direction, Alina and I composed this new song. We hope you enjoy! “Malala” by Rise-Ascend & Direction feat. Alina Written by Rise-Ascend & Alina Composed, Arranged, Produced and Mixed by Direction Artwork by Direction Read about Malala’s story here: https://www.malala.org/malalas-story Kind Regards, Rise @RiseAscend Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well. This week’s new #MTSTPBlog song is entitled “Soul Stirring” and it is inspired by some of the many stories of selflessness and compassion that we have seen in recent weeks amidst the tragedies and natural disasters. Some of the stories of people putting their lives on the line to help or save others have been very stirring and inspiring to me and I think it shows the goodness of people in the world. “When you see a stranger give someone the shirt right off their back…soul stirring…When you help someone in need and don’t know if you’re coming back…soul stirring.” – Rise Ascend “Soul Stirring” I hope you all enjoy. Well, after this new track was composed, the sound took me back to the coast, so I figured it would be cool to do an updated version of the song. So, here is “The Coast v.2” - a humble song of hope on the horizon. I hope you all enjoy. Kind regards, Rise @RiseAscend Note: You can check out the original “The Coast” by using the search function at the top of the #MTSTPBlog page. Image Credit: Adam Krowitz via Unsplash.com |
