MTSTP: Aton, as a pivotal component of the MTSTP marketing and promotions team, we have seen the tireless and impactful effort you have put into getting MTSTP’s music to the people on a grassroots and street level – particularly with the new MTSTP “Take The Music To The People” photo series. Can you please tell us a little bit about your experience interacting with the people and sharing Rise-Ascend & Direction’s music and message?
Aton: Some people simply want to be entertained... However, we’ve come to realize that even now-a-days, many people are looking for substance in music. They want to hear truth, rich lyrical content and a message. That kind of music is timeless...
Folks enjoy musical melodies that are pleasing to the soul. MTSTP, Rise-Ascend & Direction's music has all of that. I have personally seen and experienced people's expressions of appreciation for MTSTP first hand. While taking the music to the people, I've notice that people can feel the compassion in the music. I've seen that compassion break down barriers, cultural barriers and generational barriers. It's amazing to witness that moment when I can tell that a person, or group of people, like what they hear. At that moment, I know that we've touched another soul in a positive way.
Sharing the team's music is a wonderful opportunity to spread a good message and increase awareness about important human rights issues. Many people sense the goodness in the music immediately, as indicated by their warm smiles.
